I'm Michael Burton. I'm a professional programmer, and I have been writing computer programs since 1968 (you do the math).

I live in the Idaho Panhandle, just north of Coeur d'Alene. I've been here 18 years, and during that time I've had 5 jobs.

I worked as a programmer at Key Tronic Corporation for 11 years, then spent 2 years as a consultant. I worked 2 years at AMS Services, Inc and then 1 year at eMake. I currently work at Getronics in Liberty Lake, WA. I write financial software there.

Software is both my vocation and my avocation. I also enjoy reading, listening to music and touring the Pacific Northwest.
